I started out by sculpting a stylized lions foot for a custom lamp.

Lion Lamp Parts.

Different parts are sculpted and molded in RTV then cast in wax and then cleaned up as in the image above. Then the lion's foot is applied to the wax coated foam base below.

Then another RTV mold is made of that part and then three identical parts are cast in wax and pieced together further below.
