CSI: LAS VEGAS
Miniature Killer Series
Here is the Executive Office model in the early stages of construction. "Clearly" the base and walls are built from acrylic which was laser-cut and assembled to function as a wild set. "Wild" means that the walls and ceiling are removable so the DP (Director of Photography) can execute the Film Director's shots.
Here you see at the top of the image many of the custom made art pieces, sculptures, and vases which were built by
Blaise Gauba and expertly painted by Shane Stover. Notice how small the tea set is in the frames on the bottom left above.
Again, a beautifully painted miniature set by Shane Stover.
Plants/Flowers and vases created by Blaise Gauba. Painted by Shane Stover. By the way, that's a "dime" not a "quarter" if you are paying attention.

All the furniture pieces were sculpted out of 4 lb foam. The chairs and lounge were coated with epoxy resin to give them a look of leather. The grey for the couch was painted directly onto the foam.
